About this portal
The Nigeria Detainee Record Look-up Portal is a public service that helps families and accredited lawyers locate people held in custody across Nigeria and connect them with legal aid.
Our mission
No one should disappear inside the custody system. We use verified access, open records and partnerships with legal aid organisations to make sure every detainee can be found and represented.
Who we work with
The portal operates in cooperation with the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, the Nigerian Bar Association Human Rights Institute and independent human rights organisations.
